Synopsis: A well-intentioned but geeky rookie cop suffers repeated beatings by urban mobsters, until he stumbles upon a mysterious group of Taoist adepts who recognize a hidden power in him. Under the tutelage of a beautiful young woman and her wise father, he begins to learn the secrets of mastering his own "chi," and after many mishaps learns to fire off energy blasts and fly, in a fashion, through the air. ARAHAN is a testament of Korean action genre cinema nowadays - it's an amalgam of different styles that becomes distinctly Korean but with great Hong Kong action and Hollywood production values. If Stephen Chow starred as Neo in THE MATRIX, then ARAHAN would be it!
